Mother's Day is almost over, but I wanted to wish everyone a happy Mother's Day!
Mothers have been romance heroines for as long as I can remember. I think they are much more realistically portrayed now than they used to be. I don't have children, but I enjoy reading about mothers who rediscover romance. I tend to like it better when the children are minor characters in the story and don't play matchmaker. One book I enjoyed was Shiloh Walker's Her Best Friend's Lover.
Now it's your turn to share how you feel about mothers and heroines. Readers, what are some of your favorite romances about mothers who find love? Writers, are any of your stories about mothers? If so, how large a role do the children play in the story?
